The Meänland primarily creates Finnish and Meänkieli folk-reggae with a laid-back rhythm and unwavering musicality, characterized by insightful lyrics. The uniqueness of their sound arises from the combination of clever lyrics, relaxed rhythm, and uncompromising musicality. The debut single, “Sole mikhään,” by The Meänland, reached the second spot on Finland’s Spotify viral chart, and their songs have been streamed millions of times. Throughout their 10-year career, the band has gained acclaim not only in Finland but also in the Nordic countries. Recent performances have consistently sold out, so make sure to arrive early to secure your spot at the concert! In addition to the guaranteed fun and audience sing-alongs, The Meänland is known for surprise guest appearances during their shows!
The Meänland is currently working on their second album, slated for release in the spring of 2024.
